Ragani Henna
Natural Henna & Jagua Body Art for Events, Celebrations, and Creative Expression
Ragani Henna offers hand-drawn temporary body art for festivals, fairs, private parties, conventions, celebrations, and special events. With more than 25 years of henna experience and a strong background in custom visual design, I create work ranging from traditional henna patterns to contemporary, ornamental, symbolic, botanical, fandom-inspired, and event-specific designs.

Henna
Henna is a natural plant-based dye used for temporary body art, leaving a warm red-brown stain that deepens over the first couple of days and fades gradually over time.
I bring more than 25 years of henna experience, including years of work at the Northern California Renaissance Faire. My designs range from traditional henna motifs to contemporary, ornamental, botanical, symbolic, and custom work, with each piece drawn freehand for the person wearing it.
Jagua
Jagua is a natural fruit-based body art medium that creates a deep blue-black stain on the skin. It is an exciting new offering that expands the possibilities for temporary body art, especially for bold, graphic, symbolic, fantasy-inspired, or tattoo-like designs.
Because jagua requires different preparation and aftercare than henna, it is best arranged in advance for private bookings, custom work, or select events.

Beyond Body Art
My primary work is temporary body art, but I also explore henna, jagua, and related surface-design techniques beyond skin. Past work includes a map of Middle Earth on rawhide using henna, combining fantasy cartography with the organic qualities of the medium.
I am also interested in custom applications for cosplay, LARP, props, leather, fabric, clothing, and related techniques such as bleach art on textiles.
